Discussion about the information disclosure of public participation in environmental assessment

Information disclosure is a need for public to fully know about environmental conditions,which are both prerequisites for public to participate in government decision-making and environmental impact assessment procedures.In our existing legal system,the lack of the right to know the environment has led public participation in environmental impact assessment procedures to be a mere formality.This paper aims to analyze China's current situation of public participation in environmental impact assessment procedures,discuss the major issues today,and give some advices of environmental information disclosure.
