Abstract
Objective:To investigate the value of 64-slice spiral CT angiography(CTA) techniques in the diagnosis of intracranial aneurysm. Methods:CTA was performed in 55 patients with SAH,who were suspected to have intracranial aneurysms. The original imaging were studied, and the VR,MIP,MPR techniques were used to reconstruct the imaging. For certain patients, comparisons were made between the results of CTA and those of DSA and operation. Results:In this work 47 aneurysms,3 cerebral arteriosclerosis and cerebral artery stenosis, and 5 in normasity were detected in 55 patients. The results of DSA and operation were identical to those of CTA.Conclusion:64-slice spiral CT angiography can clearly demonstrate the locations, size, shape and neck of the aneurysm, together with the anatomic relationship with surrounding vascular and skull bone.It has high sensitivity and specificity in the diagnosis of intracranial aneurysm, and can diagnose most aneurysm quickly and acurately. It should be used as the important clue for making surgical planning and the important methods for long-term follow-up of postsurgical aneurysms.Compared with DSA angiography,it has many advantages, such as noninvasive, low price, low vascular complications, and so on.
