Abstract

Abstact: Objective To evaluate the value of 64-slice spiral CT angiography technology for diagnosis and application of small intracranial aneurysm. Methods A total of 60 patients of ruptured small aneurysms with subarachnoid hemorrhage were examined with CTA. Maximal intensity projection( MIP) and volume rendering( VR) were applied in 3D reconstruction, all the results were compared with DSA or operation findings. Some patients with aneurysms underwent postoperative CTA and DSA examination. Results The size, shape, orientation, origin and their relationship with the parent artery and surrounding osseous structure shown by CTA were in correspondence with DSA and intraoperative findings. Conclusion The 64-slice CTA is an accurate tool for detecting intracranial aneurysms and useful to choose therapeutic strategy.
