Abstract

The daily changes of photosynthesis and photoresponse characteristics of three Ficus microcarpa cultivars were studied, and the contents of chlorophyll a,b and carotenoids were measured in this paper.Their net photosynthetic rate(Pn),Stomatal conductance(Gs),transpiration rate(Tr),intercellular CO2 concentration(Ci),light compensation points(LCP) and light saturation points(LSP)were detected by LI-6400XT Photosynthetic Analysis System. The results showed that Pn correlated positively with Gs and Tr,while correlated negatively with Ci.The mass accumulation ability of F.microcarpa 'Aurea' was the strongest, the F.microcarpa was lower and the F.microcarpa 'Variegata' was the lowest.F.microcarpa was shade-tolerant for both low LSP and LCP while F.microcarpa 'Variegata' had a strict request on light intensity,F.micnocarpa 'Aurea' had widest light intensity for highest LSP.Consequently,F.microcarpa 'Aurea' was considered to be the best choice as an ornamental tree.
