Abstract

Objective To study the correlations of serums laminin (LN) and metastasis in colorectal carcinoma of patients. Methods ELISA method was used to observe LN variety in 47 cases of health control and 171 cases of colorectal carcinoma, and the correlations of LN and sex, age,Dukes stage, tumor broders index,CEA,DNA index, metastasis in colorectal carcinoma were investigated. Results There were not only the significant difference,P0.01, between health control (53.85 μg/mL) and colorectal carcinoma (210.01 μg/mL) but also significant difference,P0.05,between metastasis and non-metastasis,liver metastasis and lymph node of colon cancer, but no correlations between LN and other elements. Conclusions The higher levels of LN might be correlated with metastasis of colorectal carcinoma. It is suggested that LN should be examined for patients of colorectal carcinoma.
