Cultural Anthropological Interpretation of the Miao and the Dong Ethnic Clothing Embroiders——A Case Study of the Miao and the Dong Ethnic Group in Rongshui and Sanjiang County of Guangxi

The Miao and the Dong Ethnic Group boast a splendid and gorgeous culture.The Miao ethnic group,in particular,presents us colorful garments.The theories and methods of anthropology and Folklore are used to analyze the convergence and differences in the Miao and the Dong ethnic clothing embroiders in Rongshui County and Sanjiang County of Guangxi.Based on the totem patterns on the garments,stories or scene as well as figure designs comparison,the article analyzes the Miao and the Dong ethnic group in terms of their history and culture,religious belief,aesthetic consciousness,and national characters,which influence the symbiosis of their clothing embroidery culture.
