The Application of Yunnan Miao Culture Dress Patterns to Modern Graphic Design

Miao is one of the ancient Chinese ethnic groups. By seizing branch of the Yunnan Miao ethnic group in the Miao ethnic group, starting from history and culture, aiming at the problems in front of today’s Hmong clothing, through the study on historical and aesthetic aspects of patterns in Miao ethnic clothing, the thesis explains the aesthetic characteristics and profound culture meanings of Yunnan Miao clothing. It inspires the new experimentation of applying Miao clothing patterns to form, color and structure in modern graphic design.
