Abstract
In order to improve the engine performance, impeller optimization was conducted on a turbocharged diesel engine with CFD.According to the simulation results, the impeller blades were improved and the internal flow field was optimized. The optimized compressor MAP was acquired and its performance was verified by engine experiments. The results show that it is feasible to optimize the impeller structure according to CFD results. In addition, the specific fuel consumption of diesel engine with optimized compressor declines in the whole speed range.
