Abstract
Ti-Al intermetallic compounds prepared by circumrotate friction extrusion method were investigated by HV and X-ray diffraction(XRD).The result shows that Ti-Al intermetallic compounds with Al3Ti phase were prepared by the method of circumrotate friction extrusion. When the rotation speed of the muddler is 750r/min,we can promote the reaction of Ti and get a better distributional Ti-Al intermetallic compound. The result of HV and XRD shows that, the reaction speed reaches 78.96% after 5-time extrusion with the rotation speed of 750r/min and extrusion speed 23.5mm/min,and the well-proportioned status of Al3Ti phase in alloying zone makes the average HV of the zone reach 90HV.
