Abstract

Objective To investigate the role of combined detection of serum progesterone and β-H.CG in the identification of ectopic pregnancy. Methods Sixty cases of ectopic pregnancy were selected as ectopic pregnancy group and 25 cases of normal early pregnancy as control group.Serum progesterone and β-HCG of the two groups were measured and compared respectively. Results Progesterone in the ectopic pregnancy group was significantly lower than that in the control group(33.6±12.5nmoL/L vs 96.3±18.2nmoL/L,P0.01),while the β-HCG level of the two groups was(753.7±121.4)U/L,(5425.8±580.7)U/L,respectively,significantly lower in the ectopic pregnancy group than the control group(P0.01).Conclusion The combined detection of progesterone and β-HCG can improve diagnostic accuracy in ectopic pregnancy.
