Abstract
Objective To analyze the constituents of the essential oils from Illigera rhodantha Hance, and provide the scientific basis for quality control. Methods The essential oils were extracted by water steam distillation (SD), analyzed and identified by GC-MS; the components were calculated with normalization method. Results 89 peaks were extracted and detected, among which 47 compounds were identified, with 75.94% of the total essential oils. The main chemical compositions were 3,7-dimethyl-1, 6-Octadien-3-ol, n-Hexadecanoic acid, Caryophyllene, and so on. Conclusion The extraction method is simple and practical, to reveal the essential oils from Illigera rhodantha Hance for the first time, to lay the foundation for further research of its chemical composition, and to provide the scientific basis for quality control.
