Abstract
Objective To summary the application of oncoplastic surgery technique to repair the scalp after tumor resection, and discuss its advantage. Methods The scalp of 38 patients with benign and malignant tumors were resected in accordance with the principle of tumor treatment, secondary defects were repaired by skin graft, adjacent flap, free transplantation of epiploon plus skin graft and tissue expansion respectively. Results In all 38 cases, skin flap partial occurred necrosis in 4 cases;skin graft partial occurred necrosis (10%-15%) or the formation of blisters in 3 cases;1 case exposed expanders;free transplantation of epiploon occured necrosis in 1 case;wound healed at stageⅠin other 29 cases.20 cases carried out 3 months to 12 years of follow-up:1 case of small ulceration because of thinner skin grafts;3 cases of death (lung metastasis in 2 cases, cerebral haemorrhage in 1;appearances of 16 cases were satisfactory. Conclusions Oncoplastic surgery technique can be used in secondary defect wound after resection of scalp tumor, improve life quality of patients.
