Abstract

Differing from most of the wireless networks in which the access points(AP) are necessarily required,an Ad-Hoc wireless networks is constructed upon the adoption of ARM9 MCU(S3C2440) and embedded Linux operating system without the needs of access points. The wireless network card driver is analyzed in depth for the purpose of the transplanting of wireless network card into Linux OS,and wireless configuration tools are transplanted into the embedded system to make the wireless network card working in the Ad-Hoc mode.Performance test over Ad-Hoc wireless network verifies that this system is qualified for the real time transmission of compressed video data in CIF format, and is practical for various industrial applications.
