Modernity and History of Chinese Business Fiction

In the history of Chinese literature,business fiction appeared in almost each single historical period.However,its orientation of values,its mode of thinking,and its aesthetic characteristics have changed greatly with time.In the past 20 years,business fiction has reflected China's drive to a modern society.While it sticks to the traditional cultural values,it also shows its existence in form of ruptures to represent rational self-examination and a critical spirit.In these works of fiction we notice a betrayal of the traditional commercial ethics and values,an emphasis on economic rationalism,and a reflection and re-building of an individualistic culture.
