Abstract

Objective To study the influence of prepregnancy weight and pregnancy weight gain during pregnancy on fetal birth outcomes.Method We chose 164 pregnant women who did routine inspection in Beijing Hospital from July to August in 2012 and tracked the whole pregnancy, recorded their prepregnancy weight, prenatal weight, fetal birth weight and length, weight of placenta, umbilical cord length, etc.Result Prepregnancy weight was correlated with placental weight(t = 2.89,P 0.05) and fetal birth weight(t = 2.80,P 0.05).Weight gain during pregnancy was correlated with fetal birth weight(t = 2.34,P 0.05) and the cord length(t = 3.05,P 0.05).Conclusion The reasonable prepregnancy weight and weight gain during pregnancy was helpful to fetal birth outcomes.
