Abstract

An analysis on the flow and leakage of straight-through labyrinth seals was done.According the CFD technology, the velocity distribution, pressure distribution and leakage of the labyrinth seals were gained by means of k-e turbulence model and SIMPLE algorithm. On the condition of low pressure ratio,a detailed analysis on the rotate speed which affect the labyrinth seal leakage was made.It can provide a further understanding of the labyrinth seal.
