Abstract

Base on fluent CFD software as computational appliance, two different straight-toothed labyrinth seals' flow field was numerical simulated, both the seals internal pressure and velocity field were analyzed as well. The mechanism of seal leakage was noted, two different tooth seals leakage was calculated.By improving the geometry of addendum,a new seal model that can reduce leakage was received and has reference value for the seal's optimal design in the future.
