Abstract
Based on the heat and mass transfer theories of air-water flow,a three-dimensional calculation model for a 20 000 m2spray area cooling tower of a AP1000 nuclear power plant was established with Fluent numerical software.Different values of the height of the air inlet were simulated and calculated, and the influences of different crosswinds on the flow field, outlet water temperature and inlet air quantity were analyzed. The air inlet height structure design of 210 meters high tower was optimized.
