Center and edge: Orientation of communication of traditional Chinese national sports culture

Under the background of globalization,culture becomes an important aspect in international competition,while cultural competitive strength becomes an important index that measures the power of a nation.As an organic constituent part of 5000-year Chinese culture,traditional Chinese national sport is,under such a background of the time,assigned with the mission to build the cultural image of China.The authors revealed that due to such reasons as historical factors the relation between traditional national sport and western sport can only be a regional relation between center and edge.Going to the edge is the only possible and feasible choice available for the development of traditional Chinese national sport in sports globalization,and the reality we must face today and in a relatively long period henceforward.Edge means neither absolutely backward or doing nothing,nor no development or no way to development,it is simply a description relative to development advantages of western sport.Going to the edge to develop sport with Chinese features will be the start point for traditional Chinese national sport to go into a new era and start a huge development.
