The Social Value and Cultural Choice of National Traditional Sports Development under Sociological Perspective

For a century,national traditional sport of China has always been squeezed by the competitive sports of the west.As a result,it has lost its subject position and is facing the development bottleneck.The thesis,by adopting the research method of literature review,analyzed the social value and cultural choice of national traditional sport during the bottleneck period.The analysis indicates that the national traditional sport maintains its important social and cultural symbolic value.Therefore,on the basis of its cultural background and connotation,national traditional sport needs to continuously integrate itself with the western model in development process,and thus to establish the conviction of people that national traditional sport is an important component of Chinese culture.Meanwhile,in giving a full play to its social value and cultural connotation,national traditional sport will be consistently developed into the sport with its unique features.
