Abstract
Through the analysis of caraceristics of Zhang Ailing′s novels, this paper discusses their tragic aesthetics in two apects. On the one hand inspite of the absence of lofty aesthetics, the description of daily lives in her novels combines the fantasies with rationality. On the other hand,the tragic life and tragic love, especiclly of women, make her novels full of tragic color.
