Abstract

In the ironic novels written by Zhang Ailing, some bleak atmosphere is embodied in her works, and the influence from her era, family and her experience accounts for her uniquely aesthetic favor. The ironic art in Zhang Ailing's novels lies in her representing the eccentric, paving the way for the bleak art, and pursuing the unique writing style for displaying character's sentiment.
