Abstract

Comparing the results of finite element analysis of reasonable slope shape of high rockfill dam with the results of limit equilibrium analysis of reasonable slope shape,this paper fully proves that the reasonable slope shape of high rockfill dam is a nonlinear functional curved surface,and points out the defects of traditional plane surface design method of high rockfill dam, and gives new design of reasonable slope shape of high rockfill dam and slope stability analysis method,i.e.calculating the stress and displacement of every element in dam by finite element method,then making use of the data, analyzing slope stability and designing reasonable slope shape.
