Abstract

In this paper, the flocculating effects microbial flocculants were studied. The best flocculating effect was obtained by changing waste water initial pH, positive ion types and density, centrifugal conditions and concentration of flocculant. The optimum flocculating conditions of were as follows:pH of waste water was 7.2~8.0; Flocculating activity was stimulated by the addition cations such as Ca 2+ and Al 3+ ,the concentration of them was 0.75~1 g/L; Flocculant concentration of Dtjm-1 was (0.075~0.080)∶1 in volume; Centrifugal conditions were n =4 000 r/min, t =30 min. The Dtjm-1 was used for flocculating tests on several kinds of polluted water. The results indicated that they could be purified efficiently and that solid-liquid separation was good . Research and development on microbial flocculants have perspective future.
