Expression of Livin and Survivin in different types of colon adenoma and colon carcinomas

Abstract
Objective To investigate the expression and the clinical significance of Livin and Survivin in normal colon mucous membrane and diffenent types of colon adenoma and colon carcinomas.Methods Thirty cases of colon carcinomas,colon villous adenoma,colon canalicular adenoma and nomal colon mucous membrane were selected respectively and expressions of Livin and Survivin were evaluated by immunohistochemical technique.Results The rates of positive expression of Livin and Survivin in the colon carcinomas were higher than that in colon villous adenoma(P0.05),colon villous adenoma was higher than that in colon canalicular adenoma(P0.05),colon canalicular adenoma was higher than that in nomal colon mucous membrane(P0.05).There were positive correlation between nomal colon mucous membrane,different types of colon adenoma and colon carcinomas.Conclusion The expressions of Livin and Survivin in nomal colon mucous membrane,colon canalicular adenoma and colon villous adenoma and colon carcinomas are gradually increased.Livin and Survivin play an im-portant role in process carcinomatous change of colon mucous membrane.
