The Metaphorical Interpretation of E. E. Cummings' Poems

Abstract

Large numbers of metaphors,which are mainly embodied in the deviation of language,are used in E.E.Cummings' poems to express his spirit of freedom and innovation.By analyzing and enjoying the imaginative language in Cummings' poems,the readers could experience the deviation of language,thus the ultimate effect of the metaphors in his poems is achieved.
