A Discussion on the Chinese Auxiliary Police Organization and Its Standardization

Compared with the wide existence of auxiliary police, the theoretical research of auxiliary police, its organizational construction and legal construction are obviously insufficient. The aim of auxiliary police is to assist police officers in performing public duties rather than become police officers' personal assistants. The law should establish the auxiliary police's main body status and should not position them as the helpers of police officers. According to the realistic state and defects, Chinese auxiliary police organization should regulate the recruitment, establish the tight organization and management system and strengthen legislation so as to make the auxiliary police management institutionalized and standardized.
