Abstract

Mulched cultivation experiments with plastic film were conducted using peanut photolysis herbicide special plastic film and peanut variety Quanhua 10.The results showed that there was highest pod yield for the peanut sowing early(on March 5) among three sowing date treatments,it was extremely significantly higher than that of peanut sowing on April 5.There were many advantages for peanut sowing early(on March 5),such as longer vegetative growth period,taller plant in seedling stage,larger leaf area indexes,more accumulation of dry biomass,and longer flowering period,higer carrying speed of photosynthetic products at late growth stage,more partition ratio in reproductive organ,more pods per plant,bigger plump pods,declined V/R value and higher economic coefficients.These advantageous characters mentioned above were major reasons for early sowing peanut to gain high pod yield.Under the conditions of this experiment,the optimum sowing date was early March.
