Abstract

This paper pinpoints the causes in spatial evolution of rural settlement resulting from the impact of urbanization as that due to urban expansion,labor mobility between urban and rural areas,industry structural changes,infrastructure construction,and people conceptual changes.According to the differences about rural settlement trends and features of the urban-rural spatial evolution,rural settlement spatial evolution can be summarized into three types: initiative,passive and negative.The analysis of each type is also performed.
