Abstract
Objective To observe the changes in the intraocular pressure and the central anterior chamber depth of phacoemulsification and lens implantation. Methods 60 eyes of cases of senile cataract were received phacoemulsification surgery plus posterior chamber intraocular lens implantation with scleral tunnel incision.Postoperative intraocular pressure(3 d、1 w、1 m),depth of anterior chamber were observed. The postoperative follow-up was at least three-month.Results The mean postoperative IOP was significantly decreased compared preoperative IOP(P0.01).The mean postoperative central anterior chamber depth was significantly increased compared preoperative depth of anterior chamber(P0.01).Conclusion The surgery of phacoemulsification with PC-IOL implantation was making postoperative IOP to decrease and postoperative central anterior chamber to deep.It can be a good idea for treating acute and chronic angle-closure glaucoma with cataract.
