Study on operation management indexes system for marshalling yards

Abstract

The demerits of being used operation management and practice in existing marshalling yards are analyzed. According to Provisional Formula on Property Operation Responsibility of State Owned Railway Enterprisesand the characeristics of marshalling yards' operating processes and their products,this paper provides a new set of operation management indexes system based on economic profits and market economy. By using this new set of operation management indexes system,the administer and manager can understand the operation status of marshalling yards and make the suitable methods to improve the operation so as to achieve the economic target.
