Clinical Study of Liuwei Anxiao Capsule Combined with Domperidone in Treatment of Functional Dyspepsia

Objective:To observe the clinical curative effect of Liuwei Anxiao Capsule combined with domperidone for functional dyspepsia.Methods:A randomized and controlled trial was carried out in 120 functional dyspepsia patients.The patients were equally divided into 2 groups.The treatment group was given Liuwei Anxiao Capsule and domperidone,and the control group was treated with domperidone.The treatment lasted 2 weeks,and at the end of treatment,a follow-up covering one week was carried out.The overall therapeutic effect was evaluated,and the score of each individual symptom was counted.Results:In the treatment group,8 patients were cured,20 markedly effective,25 effective,7 ineffective,and the total effective rate was 88.3%.In the control group,3 patients were cured,15 markedly effective,29 effective,13 ineffective,and the total effective rate was 78.3%.The difference of total effective rate was insignificant between the two groups(P 0.05).The symptom score was decreased in both groups after treatment(P0.01 compared with that before treatment),and the decrease was obvious in the treatment group(P0.05).The results of follow-up showed that the symptom score was still decreased in the treatment group during the period of follow-up(P0.05),but the control group had no such change(P0.05).Conclusion:Liuwei Anxiao Capsule combined with domperidone is effective for the treatment of functional dyspepsia,which is worthy of popularization and application.
