Abstract

The genetic diversity and heterosis groups of 46 wax corn inbred lines were classified by the SRAP molecular marker. Results showed that the 46 lines can be divided into 9 groups, which was approximately in accordance with the comprehensive characters of these inbred lines. The combining ability analysis for some of these inbred lines indicated that the parents of superior crosses were mostly originated from the different groups.Superior crosses hardly appeared in combining parents within the groups,so it was also suggested that the heterosis group-division of wax corn by SRAP was creditable.
