Abstract
Lin Yutang is like a bundle of contradictions,profound and complex with paradoxical nature and this determines nature of his cultural thoughts.What has distinguished himself from other Chinese contemporary writers is that his have become natural and harmonious because of existence of the unknown destiny.To identify with his contradictions is to make his cultural thoughts more profound;to be illuminated by his harmony is to make his literary works,his cultural thoughts and his life more brilliant and transparent.
