Abstract

The paper summarizes the distribution, spatial location, deposit type, and wall rock alteration of the deposits within the Dabie Mountain molybdenum polymetallic metallogenetic belt.Based on the study on sulfur, oxygen isotope of the ore deposit, the authors think that the metallogenetic fluid formed the molybdenum polymetallic deposit belongs to the magmatic water, the sulfur comes from the deep source related to magmatism, and the metallogenetic materials mainly come from intermediate- acid magmatic rocks which are remelted from the lower crust.Based on the geological characteristics and sources of ore- forming materials of the metallogenetic belt, the deposit genesis is discussed, and the prospecting targets in the metallogenetic belt are analyzed. The author propose that it should focus on prospecting the medium- high temperature porphyry type molybdenum deposit in the Dabie Mountain molybdenum polymetallic metallogenetic belt, the favorable mineralization areas are located in the inner and outer contact zones of Yanshanian hypabyssal granite porphyry with deep- source silica, high potassium and molybdenum, which intruded along the junction of NWW- trending and near- SN- trending faults.
