An Analysis of the Functions of Institutional Innovation by Local Government in China

Abstract

Focusing on the institutional innovation of property right, this paper points out that the functions of the institutional innovation by local government is to foster the system of diversified prop- erty right. Thus it promotes the progress of marketization of China, lower the cost of institutional change and form various model of institution of property right in favor of individual stimulation of the institution.
