Idea,Institution and Economic Performance——The Political Theoretical Value of Economic Reform in China and India

Institutional innovation in China and India has led to fast growth,which seems to testify the theory of institutional change that change of institutional arrangement will lead to different economic performance.However,the change of institutional arrangements of the two nations occured under the unchanged political structures,and the nature of them is so different,this challenges the theory of institutional change.In fact,it is new ideas that give rise to the institutional innovation in the two nations.Therefore,neo-institutionalism,to be an approach of political science,should absorb ideas of political philosophy in order to successfully explain critical juncture that determines historical development.
