Modal Analysis and Testing Study on Heavy Truck′s Frame

Abstract

A certain type of heavy truck frame is taken as subject,and a FEA model of the frame was developed with the software ANSYS based on FEM and static/dynamic theory.A modal simulation was done to analyze the frame,so as to get the relationship between its natural frequency and corresponding modes of vibration of different orders.Modal experiment of the truck frame was carried out by a fixed resonator,the method of single point and resonance-multiple points,and relevant response signals were obtained.Comparing the results of the simulation with that of test,the validity of the FEA model is verified.Thus the results provide references for the following-up dynamics/static analysis.There are certain guiding significances to the design of frame and the improvement of structure.
