Abstract

Objective To explore the clinical effects in senile knee osteoarthritis treated by arthroscopic debridement. Methods All the 50 patients with osteoarthritis were treated by joint cavity irrigation, synovectomy, loose bodies removal, the repairing and partial resection of meniscus, etc, under arthroscopy. Then the clinical effects were observed. Results A follow-up visit to the patients for 20 months in average(6 ~36 months) was performed.Among them, the clinical symptoms for 42 patients become better and the excellent and good rate was 84%.Conclusion Arthroscopic debridement is quite effective on the treatment of knee osteoarthritis. But it needs to grasp the clinical a- daptable indications.
