Clinical Research on Therapeutic Effect of Modified Guizhi Shaoyao Zhimu Decoction in Treatment of Wind-cold-dampness Bi Syndrome in Acute Gouty Arthritis

Objective: To observe the therapeutic effect of modified Guizhi Shaoyao Zhimu decoction in the treatment of Wind-cold-dampness Bi Syndrome in acute gouty arthritis. Methods: 70 patients with Wind-cold-dampness Bi Syndrome in acute gouty arthritis were randomly divided into two groups. 35 patients in treatment group were treated with modified Guizhi Shaoyao Zhimu decoction,and 35 patients in control group were treated with chochicine and celecoxib capsules. After 7 days,the therapeutic effect and levels of painful swelling index of joints,serum interleukin-6,ESR,C-reactive protein blood uric acid (BUA) and clinical safety index were observed. Results: The total effective rate in treatment group was 88. 57% and 85. 71% in control group (P 0. 05). Painful swelling index of joints,serum IL-6,ESR and CRP in both groups were lower after treatment (P 0. 05). In treatment group,the level of BUA was reduced significantly (P 0. 05),and there was no gastrointestinal symptom (P 0. 01),no abnormality of blood routine and functions of liver and kidney were observed. Conclusion: Modified Guizhi Shaoyao Zhimu Decoction is not only effective but also safe on Wind-cold-dampness Bi Syndrome in acute gouty arthritis.
