Exploring the Military Tutor of Cadets——Reflection on the Updated Requirements and New Position for the Cadets Detachment Leaders of Military Academies

This paper analyzes the challenges and problems in the management and education processes for the leaders of cadet detachments,and then proposes the new position of the detachment leaders under new circumstances——military tutor of the cadets.By making analogy with the academic tutor,we analyze the connotation and characteristic,the object and requirement,the ability and quality of military tutors.Based on the whole-course,fundamental and creative features of the military tutor,we point out that the detachment leaders should make efforts to become the guide of the cadets' military career and to lay solid foundation for the cadets' future development,and have relevant ability and quality as tutors.Finally,according to the idea of internal and external cultivation,we suggest the way of strengthening education and instruction,organizing training and communication,completing incentive mechanism,in order to enhance the consciousness of education as well as the ability and quality required of the detachment leaders as the cadets' military tutors.
