Abstract
The labyrinth weir is one of weir type that adopted by the enter-port of the no-spillway on shore.The top axis line of the weir forms a head-to-tail connected triangular,trapezoidal or rectangular in a plane,like a maze,so called it the labyrinth weir,and also known as saw tooth weir.The mainly characters of the labyrinth weir is that on the condition of not increase the occupied width of drainage building to the valley,the discharge capacity is several times as the straight weir,it benefit to the project layout.No matter to remodel or new project,to meet the same premise,use the labyrinth weir is more economical than any other weir type.This paper introduces the labyrinth weir and its classification,basic parameters,water flow form,influence factors of hydraulic characteristics,the existing research results and the existing problem.
