Abstract

Relative content of chlorophyll and chlorophyll fluorescence parameters of flue-cured tobacco variety Nanjiang 3 were determined in different phosphorus nutrition levels using SPAD-502 chlorophyll meter and Os5p pam fluorometer in the current work. The results showed that chlorophyll SPAD value highly varied depending on the levels of phosphorus nutrition. There were significant difference or highly significant difference in chlorophyll fluorescence parameters Fo,Fm,Fv/Fm,Yield,Fv/Fo among the treatments. The different level was inconsistent in different growth stages, and enhanced phosphorus nutrition might remarkably improve photochemical efficiency. In addition, the peak of Fv/Fm,Yield value appeared at bud stage, indicating this period was active in photosynthesis.Comparing between the PSⅡ photochemical efficiency(Fv/Fm) and actual photochemical efficiency(Yield),the change of PSII photochemical efficiency gave a single peak curve, which was consistent with the chlorophyll content.
