Abstract
The spatial and temporal characteristics of the cultivated land change of Jiangsu Province during 1999 and 2006 were studied,and its barycenter change according to the calculation of population barycenter in population geography was calculated.Then,the driving factors of the cultivated land change were analyzed using principal component analysis based on a series of data related to cultivated land change.The factors affecting the cultivated land change of Jiangsu Province could be summarized as three aspects,including socio-economic development,agricultural scientific and technological progress and population pressure.
