Abstract

In order to manage and utilize cultivated land resources more effectively, according to the statistics of cultivated land of Guizhou Province from 2001 to 2010,the author analyzed the total cultivated land and relative change rate in Guizhou, and applied correlation analysis and principal component analysis to analyze the spatiotemporal changes of cultivated land and driving force. The results indicated that the cultivated land of Guizhou Province decreased by 270500 hm2 during 2001—2010.Differences of cultivated land change existed in different regions of the province, and development of cultivated land together with construction accounted respectively for the major part of cultivated land quantity fluctuation and flow direction.Economic development, population, agricultural scientific and technological progress were the main driving factors of the variation of cultivated land area.
