Abstract

Objective:To assess the value of measuring the scapula glenoid inclination angle with MRI.Methods:50 normal shoulders were scanned with MRI scanner, when acromioclavicular joint showed clear in which the section of coronal oblique in T_1WI,group a of the scapula glenoid inclination angle was measured.24 shouler joint specimens were scanned with 16-slice spiral CT scanner, group b of the scapula glenoid inclination angle was measured by maximum intensity projection(MIP) with 16-slice spiral CT.Group b was a control group whose section showing acromioclavicular joint and spinoglenoid notch. The two groups′ glenoid inclination angle were analyzed by the Statistics. Results:The scapula glenoid inclination angle measured by MRI ranged from 91.10°to 118.50°.The scapula glenoid inclination angle of two groups were 104.06°±7.72°,106.60°±6.57° respectively. The statistics showed that the result have no significant difference(P0.05).Conclusion:The method of measuring the scapula glenoid inclination angle with MRI is of good repeatability and great value.
