Abstract

Both American and Canada are the countries with the multicultural society composed by immigrants.In the peaceful coexistence of the nations and the rising of the multiculturalism,two countries had been pregnant with the Multicultural Education.The main idea of the Multicultural Education is to regard the culture of the minority groups as components of the national culture with the national characteristic;the main intention of it is that each national cultural group,no matter which race,gender differences or social stratus,will have the rights to receive an equal education.The Multicultural Education is the result of that time in the development of America and Canada.In America and Canada,the Multicultural Education has the different characteristics in theoretical pattern and practice model because of the differences of two countries in historical origin and realistic factor.The final goal of the Multicultural Education is to eliminate the racial discrimination and to promote the development of the multicultural society.
