Abstract
The new method was designed in this study to set the encephalomalacia in chicken for studying the pathologic mechanism of chicken encephalomalacia. The encephalomalacia occurred in the chicken successfully, the incidence of it was 36. 7% , the chickens suffered from it was between 30 - 60days. The clinical symptom and pathologic changes of enephalomalacia was observed, the weight of body, cerebrum and cerebellum and VE content in serum was tested. The result showed that: The animal model of chicken encephalomalacia can be set through controlling the VE content and adding unsaturated fatty acid (fish oil) and keeping other nutritional constituent unchanged in feed. The method was simple, practiced and compared. Meanwhile, the development of body, cerebrum and cerebellum can be restrain from deficient of VE and excessive unsaturated fatty acid in feed.
