Abstract

To study the chemical constituents of Periploca omeiensis Z.Y.Zhu,sp.nov.,various chromatographic techniques were employed to isolate and purify the constituents.Seven compounds were isolated for the first time from the whole plants and identified as ursolic acid(1)[STBZ],(+)-1-hydroxy-pinoresinol(2),23-hydroxy-oleanolic acid(3),β-sitosterol(4),27-hydroxy-α-amyranol(5),daucosterol(6)and periplocin(7)on the basis of spectral evidence.
