Abstract
A set of 2 maize SSR primers located on the 2th maize chromosomes and a set of 3 maize SSR primers located on the 7th maize chromosomes were used to investigate the genetic diversity of 32 inbred lines of maize.The result showed that all SSR primers were distinct in the range and degree of diversity in different inbred lines.Umc1066 had the best diversity.The SSR markers areas in o2 gene had independent character in variation and they weren't conservative sequence.There was a good diversity in between the materials with o2 gene and good inbred lines.Which layed the good foundation for setting up the SSR marker-assisted breeding system of QPM.SSR markers play an important role in variety identification of inbred lines of maize and study of genetic diversity.
